ANNA STICKEL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
KENWOOD HIGH SCHOOL
2011-2013
KENWOOD HIGH SCHOOL
2011-2013
Anna Stickel (14) was struck and killed by an Amtrak train while crossing the tracks to take a shortcut to school. We didn't know her, but thought others should after watching the story on the news. Her mother fought so hard to get a fence put up (or a pedestrian bridge crossing) so the same tragedy wouldn't happen to others. Although the story got ample news coverage, the majority of the community (at first) snubbed the fact that taxpayer money should support such bridge as "kids shouldn't walk the tracks."
We offered a yearly scholarship in her name to allow others to know Anna's story, and to bring awareness to such tragedies among children. The first recipient received it in 2011, the 2012 recipient didn't use it , and so it was re-awarded to the 2013 recipient. We are happy to report, the fence came after all. Read more on this story here - Remembering Anna.

Do you need us to work with your organization at a special event, fair or festival? Book us in advance!
a) We Offer Exclusive Food Services - Pay Upfront. This is where we negotiate a fair "up front" price with us, and we'll handle all the food services for you. Instead of paying us a consulting fee to do so, we will pay you a fair donation fee in advance for the food and handle all the headaches! This amount is negotiated based on permits, fees, needs, and attendance to your event. ( First year events, we would propose option #b. )
b) We Offer Exclusive Food Services - and Pay You A Percentage of All Sales. We still handle purchase of all permits including - health, fire, and insurance. This payment is forwarded to your organization within 3 days of the event in lump sum format. Percentage is discussed up front and written agreement is made.
We handle obtaining all permits - health, fire, and insurance and have plenty of contacts to make sure your festival has a good variety of food!
